The TESOLANZ executive has written a number of letters to NZQA on issues of concern to ESOL teachers (and students) - see Policy Issues. The minutes of the last Executive meeting (8 February 2010) are now available.
See 2009 reports on the Primary SIG page.
Most computer users will read PDF files at some stage. This website is making increasing use of them to ensure that you can read documents in any platform. However, there are loopholes in earlier versions of Adobe Reader which could turn your computer into a rather expensive heap of plastic and heavy metals. Go to www.adobe.com and download the latest version before you open another PDF file!
Have you thought of enrolling for online workshops or for internet marketing? So far we have workshops from TESOL in January (enrol now!) and an online fair for German students (they need enrolments by the end of January). Visit the Conferences and Events page.
You can read all the 2009 newsletters in the Newsletter Archive and the 2008 TESOLANZ Journal in the Journal Archive.
In November 2009 Professor Stephen May spoke to AKTESOL on bilingualism and language acquisition. You can download the PowerPoint presentation on the AKTESOL page. See the functions photos too!
