Applications are invited for a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching (ALLT) with a specialization in Second Language Acquisition (SLA)/Instructed Language Learning (ILL) in the School of Cultures, Languages and Linguistics, University of Auckland.
You will be expected to teach and coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate courses in applied linguistics and language teaching. You will also be expected to supervise postgraduate students and to contribute actively to the research culture of the ALLT Discipline and the School of Cultures, Languages and Linguistics.
You will have a PhD in Applied Linguistics/TESOL/Linguistics with a proven track record of research and teaching at the university level. Experience teaching and coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate courses is required, as is research expertise in quantitative research methodologies. A specialization in SLA is required, including an active research program in SLA/Instructed Language Learning.
