Teaching Pronunciation
Presenter: Marty Pilott

This presentation looks at:

  • the goals of pronunciation teaching
  • the three levels of pronunciation and why they are all important
  • an approach to teaching based on articulation

If needed, Marty will explain phones, phonemes and allophones. There will be some group work to practise an approach to teaching sounds.

The presentation will also look at the importance of word stress and fluency, and if there is time, there will be further discussion and questions.
