The Department of Humanities at Ara is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced people for fixed term (full time and part time) and casual (as needed) roles later in 2023 (between July 2023 and February 2024).

We deliver General English and Academic English courses at levels from elementary to high intermediate for both domestic and international students.
Tutors will ideally have:
- A level of English of at least CEFR C1 level
- A completed qualification in teaching English Language to adults with a minimum of 6 hours observed, assessed and externally moderated practicum (e.g. Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL))
PLUS
- A Bachelor degree
- or a post-graduate diploma in a language related area
- or 720 hours’ English language teaching experience
- or a Diploma of Teaching
We also seek expressions of interest for Learning Facilitators in our Language Self Access Centre. This role involves one-to-one guidance to students, encouraging learner autonomy and locating resources that will best meet their needs. Learning Facilitators will ideally have:
- A level of English of at least CEFR C1 level
- Experience with people from non-English speaking backgrounds
- Experience working in an educational setting
